This site is an attempt to revive the "Programmed Learning" genre pioneered by the TutorText series of textbooks.

About TutorText dot org

TutorText was a pioneering series of interactive books, published by Doubleday, which used a gamebook-style format to teach a wide variety of subjects to a mainstream audience. The concept of using interactive text was originally called Programmed Learning by behaviorist BF Skinner in 1958. You can read about the whole series on Demian's Gamebook Web Page.

Tutortext.org's mission is to bring some of Doubleday's original textbooks into the 21st century.
